Tutorials for shoes rigging in Blender?

OMG.  I would so love to find a tutorial that would let me rig old Slink shoes "I bought" so I could wear them on Maitreya feet.  

Please someone.  Link to a tutorial if there is one.  I haven't found one and I looked a lot (although not that recently).  

I assume it will have to be in Blender 2.79x because of Avastar.   But correct me if I'm wrong.  I'm such a rigging noob.  Well.  I've never even done it.
