Hi there,
As a newbie to mesh after having a 10 year break from SL, I decided to have a go and upload a mesh object I got from a share on here. Wasn't really expecting much really but thought I'd give it a go. Now then, when I used to copybot prim sets years ago, the scripts were always missing (I accept they are server side and can't be seen).. So is using mesh the same? I take it that if I used a ripped off head or body then none of the HUDS/appliers will work?
Cheers

Probably not without scripts all your objects are dead.

So unless you were will to write your own scripting solution to apply textures etc, there isn't much point in importing somehting like a mesh body?

I think it shouldnt be hard to find some freebie scripts? As for appliers, why apply if you can rip skins?

@crimdon the mesh from 10 years ago isnt the same as now, second life had no mesh bodys in that time,
you can't import a mesh body, to upload mesh products, you must have a now payment info used
and you must have money on your account,
all devkits/texture kits are free in the store from the body, for making your own applier, but the script aren't full perm,

in de Maitreya devkit is a script that is working with that Notecard you add in that notecar the uuid numbers
The Omega applier dont work with a nc, you add the uuid right away in the script

I understand that. Was just wonded if the Matreya dev kit (the the Omega applier or that matter) applied the texture directly or did it do it via a listener script inside the body object

Thats for that. I was guessing that was the case. Been told to go look on OSGrid as there are plenty of cracked heads and bodies on there so look at scripts etc.
