Preference menu is available before you log in. It's like that with the new Firestorm also.
I used Firestorm most recent code, I did not change the preference in the menu, probably somthing they did. If I get time I will tweak it, but dont hold your breath.
simple thing to do rightclick one of the veiwers buttons> click the toolbar button from the menu> add the pref button to the ui by draging it to the sides and done you have a pref button firestorm ui 101:Nerd:

Yes always set your preferences before you log in that way its not distracting when you do. The client always places a heavy load on the system.
Helloo, this great viewfinder, only negative for me is "preferences" can only be used in the start menu and not in the game, but thank you very much ^^
