Hi guys,

a short introduction about myself.
First of all, please be patient cuz my english is not my first language and sometimes I may misunderstand things.
I'm here to export things from 3D worlds to import it to my privat opensim, which is not connected to the world. I'm a bit older (56 years old) and I try to build this opensim world for my kids with all the memories we shared together. They will have a place to visit and hang out, remember the days with me if I'm not anymore physically here.
I could learn how to build mesh things in blender, arrange all the texture around and so one but I do not have the time to do so. If you have two kids  (8 years old and 16 month old) and a fulltime job, you know what I'm talking about.
So I spend the time in RL with my kids, the time I can spend to build the opensim world is limited.
Linux is my preferred OS (I build networks from scratch or make sure, they run like expected), my preferred scripting language is Python.
I've some experiance with scripting (only python and Perl, and well, a bit LL), I automate all things I can in my RL job.
So feel free to ask if you need help with python, networking (routing, switching, cisco, ospf and stuff), I'm always willing to help.

Kind regards

When downloading Collada/Mesh files you must have, at minimum, a general understanding dealing with mesh items and 3D software like Blender, Avastar, or other programs. Collada/Mesh/DAE files are not beginner-friendly. First, you must have an account in Second Life that will allow you to upload Mesh files, see here -->

Two important tools you will need with mesh is

** Items that are XML or OXP you can simply upload them into the game via XML import or Linkset import (for .oxp files). (Beginner Friendly) All the textures will upload with the item.
