The errors you report suggest that the unicode characters that you use, got desynchronized - can happen during manual modification of unicode characters.
If you don't modify manually the script and still get issues:
first of all, delete the mesh object's copy you rezzed and rez fresh one. If you used damaged script on the object, the object becomes useless - you need to rez fresh copy.
If it doesn't help either, send me the .mxp file of the project and i will examine it. (you generate mxp by click export button)
PS: "[00:39] Warning: the root prim of the new linkset has changed." this message is natural as you deleted the first two prims. The first prim is the root prim - if you deleted it it is normal that it has changed :D
But it still should work - the script is designed to be able to handle root prim's change
