My textures wont save.. it says receiving and its stuck there after i click save

You can't get 'others'. That's the point of BOM, really. 
So, when you see others, what's happened is that their viewer has already identified their skin, their tattoos, their overlays and sent them off to SL's servers. SL mashes them all together, gives back a uuid of a texture which is all their bits blobbed into a single texture, and presents THAT to your viewer. You'll only ever see the collected bits on one texture. 

And since you can't get into the inventory of other folks to pick out invidiual skins and the other layers which are worn.. all you can do is yourself - obviously if someone's wearing *just* the skin and nothing else ontop, then you can get *just the skin*. 

Note: this is a good thing ™. The Omega method of having to download a bunch of different textures for skin, tattoos, underwear, makeup etc... was much worse for the viewer.

Having some issues with this, trying to follow the instructions, and yet still cant get a tattoo texture pulled out to edit. :\

if the texture is stuckk at recieving theres a little refresh circular arrow on the lower left of the texture clickk that refresh the texture and it will save
