export box with contents provlem

Hi. i am gathering my items.. some items from my old world and secondlife to combine them into my new grid. All was going well and all at once i cant even do a simple box export from either grid or sl. i get the one box prim and the default texture but, no contents even if i place simple images in the prim, they do not export. any help would be great. thanks.
