Noob Uploading Questions - Linds086 - 07-18-2015

Ok. I have an upload - with textures ready to go.
Questions:
1) Is Zip archive ok?
2) Do I need an account on TinyPic to put a pic there to link here?
3) Do I attach the upload as an attachment?

I think that's all I need to know now. If I'm missing anything please let me know so I don't mess it up.

I tried all of these and tried to preview the post and got an Invalid Forum error.. Not sure what that means.

1) Is Zip archive ok?
Apparently Zip archives should be ok, its like winrar, although maybe you should consider starting to use winrar as it is the most used compression extension. I have not tried to upload a zip archive as an attachement before but I think there should not be a difference.

2) Do I need an account on TinyPic to put a pic there to link here?
From what I see when making a new post -> TinyPic Uploader Upload your images to tinypic and integrate them into your post easily. -> That appears and it allows you to upload an image directly from your computer so the answer must be: Not needed.

3) Do I attach the upload as an attachment?
I think the answer should be: If you want. I don't really know why we should like to use attachements when we can upload them normally to mega for example, and those attachements should fill space in the server so I guess the less attachements specially if they are of a lot space, the better. But the option is there so as you like.
Personally unless you fear your archives are going to be erased and if they fill much space, don't needed. That's what I think.

It's fine, thank you for asking. It's better that you ask and learn how to do it right than to sit and do nothing, or upload a lot in the wrong way.

Best place to go to upload files that re too big for our site's attachment feature.

As for "Invalid Forum error"
That just happens sometimes, I don't understand it m'self really.

I'm looking at an 8k zip right now. I don't know what the max size is here. oh and I just refreshed the page, that seemed to fix the weirdness.

10MB is the max the attachment can handle without going bananas but if it does feel free to use Mega
