The admins might want to consider to sticky just this thread to replace the other three that are no longer recent, namely:
Avastar 1.5 + Sparkles Pro 1.4 (Obselete build)
Avastar 1.2 release + Sparkles (Obselete build)
Avastar 1-1-1045 / Update: 11 April 2014 (Obselete build)
The latest non-beta versions are:
avastar-1.5-9_blender-2-70.zip
sparkles-1.5-9_blender-2-70.zip
And contain a dramatic change in workflow and fixes that supercede previous builds.
Stickying the older builds can create much confusion.

Jusst because it is old, does not make it obsolete. personally I think the newer versions of avatar over complicated simple tasks making once smoooth workflows massive pains in the ass.

That other one I downloaded yesterday did not seem to have sparkles as a separate zip so I'm going to try this one. I put up 1.6 as requested if anyone else maybe looking for that.
