Help: Ripping Sounds - ZeroThe10th - 09-21-2014 SOUNDS ------- Object sounds- Extinction: When it comes to extracting sounds I find that the Extinction viewer is the best tool for this, so the instructions will be for Ex viewer. ::Sounds from Objects:: Right click on the object with the sound. From the pie menu select Edit With the build menu open navigate to the CONTENT tab. Double click on the sound file ( The item with the speaker icon) A window will open with the following ------------------------------ PLAY LOCALLY- Play the sound so that only you can hear it. PLAY IN WORLD- Plays the sound on the world channel allowing everyone to hear it. PLAY AMBIENT- Plays the sound on the Ambient channel COPY UUID- Copies the sounds UUID to the Clipboard SAVE OGG- Saves the sound in .OGG format SAVE WAV- SAves the Sound in . WAV format. ----------------------------- Sounds like animations need to be reuploaded to be used, you can not extract them to your permanent inventory. If you want to save money/Use the sounds for free you have to use the UUID ::Sounds from Avatars: Getting sounds from other will require you to use the sound explorer. So at the top of your viewer select EXTINCTION SOUNDS > SOUND EXPLORER Now the sound explorer is a beast of a tool I'll explain how it works At the top you'll see filter check boxes One for SOURCES and CONTROLS =================================== SOURCES: AVATAR- The Explorer scans for sounds coming from People OBJECTS- The explorer scans for sounds coming from Object Collisions- The Explorer scans for sounds that comes from collisions ------- CONTROLS: OWNED: Will filter only things owned by you REPEATS: Will filter sounds that loop Pause Log: .. well not sure about that one.. >_> ---------- At bottom you'll see action buttons LOCALLY- Play the sound so that only you can hear it.
