Weird face issue during upload - Saeki Amae - 08-13-2022 Hi, I found some weird behaviour with some mesh objects after stealing it with Hydrastorm using export xml. If I open XML with Mesh Helper 1.7.0.1 and export it and upload it to SL, the viewer correctly recognizes that the prim has let's say 2 faces. But the server thinks that the prim has just one face - and if i for example manually change color of face nr 0 to red and face nr 1 to green, then after running simple call llGetLinkPrimitiveParams on this prim (just this, nothing else in the script!) the face nr 1 turns back to red - like the server thought that face nr 1 is part of face nr 0. How to fix this issue? RE: Weird face issue during upload - Necrok - 08-13-2022 Use Blender, separate by materials, then clear all materials from each object, make a few diff blank textures with diff names, and then add a diff texture to each face, then you can select all, join em and remove double verts.I had similar issue and that cured it for me.Could be a diff way,but it's how I did it. RE: Weird face issue during upload - Saeki Amae - 08-14-2022 Hello, selecting checkbox "Unique Material for each face" in Mesh Helper did fix it for me in this case - not sure if it always works but here it did |
