Let's say I copybot an animation in-game and re-upload it. It automatically makes me the creator of the animation but what if I'd like to have the original creator listed instead? Is there a way to change the creator of an animation? If so, how do you do it?

i have been curious about this too, i am sad that no one has responded to this!!! AND it would be SUCH A GREAT TOOL! i have rules for myself when ripping things just to make me feel slightly safe, and this would make me feel SAFER!!.
there was a Thread WAY BACK in 2017 about a program called "eXtinction" as of me writing this i have not checked if it still works or not in 2023 and the person stated they didn't have a "key" to the program (which again, haven't checked it so not sure what that means)
BUT COME ON!! THERE MUST BE SOMETHING RIGHT! i want to rip things but STILL have it read the Original Creators name! there has to be some trick!!

@Kenzara, the reason that nobody has answer here, becourse you can't change the creator name, the only thing
on build work, try to find a full perm prim from the original creator and use it as rootprim
or maybe for you a idea, rip things from full perm creators who gives also the dae file in the box
How you can see the original creator, inspect the object, right mouse button: then more, more, inspect
there are alot creators who sell the package with dae files.

No it cant be done spoofing owners has been phased out for years, and even then it didnt work with animations.If you dont want your name on an animation, then A grab the uuid of the animation you're trying to steal and use a script that plays animations via UUID, or B create an alt and upload everything through that alt letting it catch the heat.
