BOM skin import - Moldy soup - 04-20-2020

I tried and failed so IM asking for a little help.  I extracted a BOM skin and saved it to my pc as a DAE file.  When I went to upload mesh model to secondlife, I have seemingly uploaded a cube, the same exact cube that I created with the skin on it for 33L. Nothing happened and I can't figure out what IM not doing right.  I have read most all the tutorials and I can't seem to find anything about making this work.  Please help!

Hi, i presume you extracted the whole body not just the skin. If you want the skin you can find it in texture explorer, get the uuid and make a new skin system form it

you can't save a skin as DAE file,  DAE file is only for mesh objects. clothing, body's, head's but no textures
what muskini says too,  its just a template (texture)

Yeah I can grab a UUID from the texture when it is a baked one but the problem is when I make it into a skin.  Log out.  Log in.  The skin is the color grey and that's it.  Not texture on the skin whatso ever.  The tutorial said to put it on a cube then extract it to my computer.  How is that going to make a skin though?  What am I not understanding?
