I'm no expert when it comes to mesh, but, turn on hidden prims before saving the mesh as DAE.
I'm just guessing here, but maybe there is other prims needed to be highlighted with main mesh that relate to the hair itself, the creators way of trying to stop people copying it.

Wouldn't be first time creators have tried sneaky tricks like that.

Are you sure you are applying the textures correctly? Flat tubes are normal (for some creators) and the correct textures make those tubes appear to be locks of hair... I'm sure you know all of this.

Yes absolutely I will attach a photo.

and yep! I know how it SHOULD look, I mean I do 3d modelling myself this is definitely not correct xD. I normally use 3ds max, but i also tried with blender and it's always the same result. Another issue I've had with some creators is the parts are misarranged? Like not in place. I'll post a photo of them both!

Ctrl + Alt + T    if i remember correctly...
