How can I discover the creator of a texture with just the uuid? - jeffdunham - 10-17-2018
I have the uuid for a texture. I would like to know the who uploaded that texture. Is it possible?

I’m not sure how you can find the original creator with a uuid.

I have the uuid for a texture. I would like to know the who uploaded that texture. Is it possible?
So unless its a trademarked or copyrighted item (and when I say copyritten I mean filed with the copyright office in Washington DC) don't worry about it. Just do a reverse image search to see if its on the net. If its not, send it back up.

Follow these steps:
#1. Create a Prim in SL.
#2. Open Edit Prim.
#3. Goto Texture click on the texture box.
#4. Paste your UUID then click Apply UUID click OK.
#5. Right Click (in Hydrastorm) on the prim then Click Inspect Textures.
#6. Click CopytoInv Textures to see Preview on the Preview window you should be able to see the Creator Name as usually.
