  , which uses the smartphone's motion detector to convert running in place into virtual movement.

Put them together and behold, real running becomes virtual running in a virtual world. The results, says, SLeBaron, are pretty good:

"This is the first time trying out TrinusVR and PocketStrafe for VR locomotion in SecondLife with GearVR. For straight out the box it worked great! Now to work on reducing latency and getting rid of jitter in the head tracking. The steam that periodically shows up is from a cup of coffee I forgot to put down before going for my run!"
