Problem Exporting Mesh to OpenSim - SebringTech - 11-11-2016

I've been in the process of botting things over from my SL account to an OSGrid account. So far I have managed to get the region setup and running. I created an avatar to do the sketchy uploads on there. Using Darkstorm I can export everything I want to XML and them import the XML making sure to upload the textures since in theory the assets wouldn't exist on the other grid.

I've been able to upload all kinds of mesh objects; houses, trees, sim surround, ect. All objects seem to work just fine (minus any scripting and posing of course).

My problem comes when I try to upload avatar mesh components. I was able to upload an entire mesh avatar, body and all, and it all looked and worked great. I thought to myself this is too good to be true, so I logged out, cleared my cache, and logged back in. Everything is still showing in my inventory as being attached but all that's working is my alpha.

Last time I was in the botting seen Sculpts were the newest things so I admit its been a long time since I tried - and when I did copybot things it was exporting to and from SL grid so the assets were all there.

Is this something I'm doing wrong that's making the avatar mesh not stick, or are avatar assets handled different than objects? Both the objects and avatar mesh were exported as XML saving the textures and imported as XML Uploading the textures.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you answered your own question. I think Zero talks about this in her video about "Exporting your region to OS"

Good luck

This is the view from the avatar on the left. That avatar was not the one that uploaded the clothing. But both are wearing Slink bodies, hands, all mesh clothing, hair, and Catwa heads.

This is a view from the avatar on the right. The one who uploaded the objects and textures and gave them to the avatar on the left. Both avatars show fine. So I can only guess that the assets are only with the avatar who uploaded the objects and everyone else will see nothing. Is there a different way I can upload the clothing and body?

Well that's a bummer. Looks like I'll be watching some videos. Now that I think of it - both the avatars uploaded the mesh thats on the sim in the pics. I uploaded something exclusively on the avatar on the right and it only shows in that viewer and not the avatar who didn't upload.

Okay so this seems to get painfully close. I go in Darkstorm and save the mesh file. I then also export the XML. I fire up "Meshes" and go through the steps in the tutorial video and it exports a mesh file. When I select the dea file to upload I can select to upload textures, I can also check to include skin weight and also include joint positions. However when it attempts to upload I get this error:

I have tried several different clothing objects and get the same error each time. I also tried to import a mesh bar which resulted in the same error. I was able to get some smaller items to correctly import as mesh and upload correctly.

Have you tried to upload with a different viewer?

I had the same error, but after divide the mesh in two parts I could download everyting
