Not sure if this is the right place, but does anyone have the ebody dev kit (or would part of this Zero kit work?) where it's just the mesh with the UV intact? 

I don't need all the random stuff attached, I just need a dae/obj with an intact uv. For like, making tattoos and such. Being able to paint directly on the body in 3d.

Hello everyone, I'm a long time SL player and I recently came across this website when I tried to find any information on "copying second life worlds".
Thats when I came across this website. From what I could see there were several modified clients that let people copy different assets, but I couldn't find a thread on here that explained how to copy entire worlds/servers, with their scripts. Is that even possible?

Hello. I am a long-time lurker here, first time helper and I wanted to share the work-around I learned of and wanted to make it in a consolodated guide for you all.

To give you some background of me, I'm an ethical copybotter. I purchase what I take out before, don't redistribute, and utilize these tools to further my own creativity and modding options. These are the things I personally promote and aspire other copybotters to do, but I'm not your mom, so here are the ways to steal meshes in 2024:

Firstly, there are two options you can go with. Each will require an installation of both Hydrastorm and Firestorm.

To start:
•Install Firestorm (<Insert whichever Firestorm version we're at here>)
•Install Hydrastorm (

•Optional (But encouraged) is installing Mesh Helper (

•Open Firestorm once, then close it. this will initiallize the 'user_settings' in your Firestorm AppData to get to the next steps. This is key, because Hydrastorm borrows from Firestorm in most things, as it's masking itself as that.


Option One (Basic option):
Each time you wish to use Hydrastorm, go into "AppData/roaming/Firestorm_x64/user_settings" and delete  'fsdata.xml' and 'key_bindings.xml'.
Deleting 'key_bindings' removes the overlapping key settings that are not in this old version of Hydrastorm, and deleting 'fsdata' makes it so it doesn't check/authenticate that it's that version, and bypasses the check of what version of Firestorm you are running on their end.

If you get a "Linden Labs is watching you"? They're not. They really do not care. Don't panic. That is a message and scare tactic from Firestorm Devs that they detected someone logging in from the version of Firestorm that Hydrastorm is spoofed as. You bypass that by deleting the 'fsdata' file.
If you see "2024-01-05T21:50:44Z ERROR # newview/llviewerinput.cpp(1206) LLViewerInput::bindMouse : Can't bind key to function script_trigger_lbutton, no function with this name found" then you didn't delete the 'key_bindings' file.

You would have to do this every time you wanted to use Hydrastorm again after using Firestorm without going the route of the more advanced options. You would not need to do anything when going from Hydrastorm to Firestorm, as Firestorm will overwrite any files it considers to be 'older' with it's initial startup.


Option Two (Advanced option):
There are two routes to go with this, and both are generally the same concept. It always starts with installing both clients.
1. Get a laptop or other PC that you will exclusively use Hydrastorm on and never Firestorm. You'll never have to delete the 'fsdata' or the 'key_bindings' folder again (which wipes your settings and your saved passwords each time.
2. Make a different account on your PC and use Hydrastorm on it. Because the AppData files are local to each user, you can get-around the need to delete the two files each time by just only using Hydrastorm on that account on your PC. This is the option I personally use.


Mesh Helper tips:
• Mesh Helper is a tool that can read Hydrastorm exports as XML and convert them into working DAEs with rigging information, if applicable. Make sure you toggle the option to have each face as a different material (especially if retexturing), and you'll have to delete your cache folder for Mesh Helper if you're going to pull the same mesh twice for some reason.
• Your cache folder location is generally "AppData\Local\FirestormOS_x64".
• I have found that Blender 2.79 with Avastar 2.4.0 works the best for these converted DAE files initially.
• Not every rigging skeleton is the same. Especially in some brands as they just rig to one body and manually readjust the weights on that one body to roughly fit another instead of properly re-rigging it to that body.
• If reuploading, look at what the original upload had their lowest LOD set to, cause that will affect ARC and upload costs. Some creators are really vile with this (Legacy for example) and upload at a very low number of tris on their lowest LOD to get past these limitations and fool the viewers to not thinking their meshes are overcomplicated hot garbage.

Hello, theres a mesh home i really want... and its wayyy to much (of course) im wanting to take it... im using  DarkStorm v6.2.0 Version and when i always right click the item and click open it shows me the contents when i try to copy to inventory im not allowed to.... is there any easier way i can get the house i want?

hello! i've been a lurker for several years now (because i wasn't confident enough to actually post..) but i really loved the excellent tutorials on the forum and on zero's youtube channel as well as the free programs and addons offered.
i finally decided i'd like to properly show my appreciation for the tools, knowledge, and downloads that people have generously shared here, and do my part to contribute what i can as well.

i've been using sl for several years, but i wouldn't say i'm an expert with anything. i do have some experience in using blender and photoshop to make sl clothing, so stuff like modeling meshes, rigging, texturing, and such. although i've been on an extended hiatus from sl so my knowledge is maybe a bit outdated haha
i don't understand scripting very well beyond slightly editing prewritten scripts, but i intend to learn.

i also have experience in english writing and transcription, and i've noticed how useful it is for people to have access to good instructions when copybotting.
or to put it another way, i've noticed how many repeat questions the creators of tools and tutorials tend to get bombarded with... :')
so i'm interested in archiving the existing information and tutorials that have been spread around on various sites, youtube videos, etc, and transcribing and editing them to make them easier to understand.
for example i think if someone uses machine translators to read things in their own language, it can help a lot if the original text is really clear and straightfoward. also in my opinion it would be nice to have backups just in case sites go down or youtube vids are deleted...
but it's just an idea i had for one way i might be able to help out ^_^ i'm not sure what the demand for that would be like? i'd like to see what people think...

  FBX of assembled body & evox head for SP import?

I don't really know Blender. I can import a dae, remove bones and export to FBX for Substance Painter, but that's kind of it. But, I want to try to paint skins and stuff.  And I saw that someone had made an FBX of the LaraX bod (in dev kit). So I thought I'd ask if anyone knows if there's an FBX version of properly fitted evox head on a mesh body, for import into Substance Painter?  It would be so helpful if there was.

If the answer is no, maybe someone can point me to a Youtube tutorial that shows the best way to assemble a evox head with a mesh body? I'm not having much luck. I realize the head can be scaled, rotated and moved close to what seems the right position, but the seams sorta need to be exact for Substance Painter I think? Is there a simple or best way to actually do that on a larax/legacy/reborn/SL default bod in Blender?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I used DarkStorm to copy a mesh head, and it came out looking pretty good, except for some red under the eyes. But when I exported and brought it back in, then wore that copy, most of the face came out red. What am I doing wrong>

UGGGHHH! FUCK!
I honestly didnt want to make this kit, the heffa stole the name of my body. I made the peach body first....
Anyway here is the bootleg dev kit i made for this stupid peach body.
It contains the Raw DAE files so you can import them in whatever 3d enviroment you want and see the cuts(alpha cuts)
The version i made is for blender and the cuts were erased.
Made for blender 2.79 and has the Vagina and strap thigh add ons included.
The raw add on files are also included so you can do what you want with those too.
Umm skin textures, eyebrows, normals are also included.
If you want a copy of the body to import in second life feel free to export it directly from the Dev kit.
This is not an avastar version so you can just do the plain dae export from blender.
