I am wanting to take things from my SL inventory in sl and posting them, what I worry about is these bots that pop on to all the sims, randomly 24/7. I do not have a sim I can close off to these bots and know that some of them detect the viewer you are using.  Does the spoof keep these bots from seeing the viewer you are using,  how much of a worry is it that they will be able to tell what I am doing?  I really do not want to be in trouble for taking out my stuff /stuff that I have purchased.  Thanks in Advance
You have nothing to worry about, the viewer spoofs itself as Firestorm. But you still need to use common sense to not get caught copybotting by a real person.

Basically, don't walk around  telling anyone, what you are doing..  :) Thank you for your reply and info.
There's a lil more too the common sense part, like not hanging out in the store where you just ripped the items from (or any store for that matter, because even the competition is usually not thrilled by the ideas of copybotters). Creators have a keen eye for that sort of thing, after all it's their baby and they constantly look for improvements, which makes the opposite also true (meaning they have keen eye for botched work).

Your re-upload will never be a exact match, the LOD (Level Of Detail) will be different and might visibly collapse into a bunch of triangles from a distance. It won't respond to the creators HUDs, etc. You can however do a great job to mimick these things as close as possible. But it takes just one difference for the original creator to notice, so stay away from stores, creators, their friends and their staff and especially Lindens.
