How far away can you put this?
Is like 50m? or more? For off sim.

It's dependant on your root prim. This must be on sim. So may take a little experimenting with adding a prim at distance to see how far out you can get it. ?

As this is xml, when loaded it will come in as temporary mesh (unless this is a prim/scuplty). How does one overcome it disappearing when cache gets flushed?
